This VET course teaches students with a diverse number of valuable skills that can be applied to all entertainment events. The course provides an insight into the backstage environment of producing the live shows and multimedia that entertain millions of people every day.
What is entertainment?
In this course students will learn to visualise, plan and manage a variety of live entertainment productions effectively. Students will study stage management, undertaking live audio operations, vision systems, how to operate basic lighting, work health and safety practices and providing services to customers.
Learning entertainment
Students will learn a wealth of unique skills that will prepare them to fulfill a variety of roles in the entertainment industry. Whether is be learning how to mix audio or washing a stage with appropriate lighting for the scene or even mapping out the precise areas where sets and actors need to stand for a perfect performance, entertainment will prepare you for these scenarios.

Students looking for a challenging skills-based course that requires creativity and outside the box thinking should consider entertainment. The entertainment course can also contribute to your ATAR if you complete the optional HSC exam and also provides students with a white card qualification.
