Quakers Hill High School is an active participant in the Metropolitan Secondary Schools Chess Teams Competition run by The NSW Junior Chess League.
The competition runs for 10 weeks during Term 2 every Friday afternoon. Our students travel to other state and private schools within the Metropolitan West Region to compete, as well as host games at our school.
The opposition is highly competitive. Chess is a game of strategy; a battle of intellect, where there are two objectives:
All students receive a Certificate of Participation and the very best players are acknowledged during our Service to the School Assembly.
