Some of the competitions our Visual Arts and Photography students are involved in:
Harmony Day Poster competition
Visual Arts students participate annually in the state-wide Harmony Day Poster competition. We have had success with this competition with two regional winners and two regional runner-ups. In 2014 our overall regional winner was Bhoomika Sreenivasan of Year 10, and our regional runner-up was Kavya Mathur also of Year 10. Our Music students will also take part in the song writing component of this competition.
Design An Ad competition
Every two years our Visual Arts students participate in the Design-An-Ad competition, a local community competition where students design advertisements for local businesses. Once again, we have had success in this competition with a winner and several highly commended students.
Moran Prize Photographic competition
Photography students have participated in the Moran Prize Photographic competition, a prestigious nationwide competition. In 2014 we have been successful with five of our students making it as finalists. The state and national winners have yet to be announced.
Dancetrain Magazine Photography Competition
Emily Morgan from Year 10 in 2014 was awarded first prize for her striking dance photographs in the Dancetrain Magazine Photography Competition.
